GENERAL QUESTIONS

Ironside provides professional safety leadership through three core services: on-site contract safety staffing, fractional safety director services, and independent incident and near-miss investigations. We support construction and industrial job sites by delivering qualified professionals, structured oversight, and neutral third-party reporting when it matters most.

Ironside supports organizations operating in high-risk, compliance-driven environments where safety leadership is critical. While not limited to, we serve construction, industrial, general industry, data, oil and gas, we provide scalable safety leadership wherever risk exists and standards must be upheld.

Ironside operates from Detroit, Michigan and Nashville, Tennessee, supporting projects across the continental United States.

No. While we provide contract safety staffing, we are not a general labor or temp agency. We specialize exclusively in safety leadership and oversight. Every professional we deploy is vetted, credentialed, and supported by Ironside’s internal standards and leadership structure.

CONTRACT SAFETY STAFFING

Our safety professionals oversee OSHA compliance, conduct daily pre-task plans, lead weekly toolbox talks, manage documentation, coordinate client and insurance safety walks, enforce site standards, and support incident reporting. They operate as embedded safety leadership for the duration of your project.

We offer Field Safety Technicians, Project Safety Support, and Lead Safety Professionals. Coverage scales based on project size, complexity, and risk profile.

Deployment timelines vary based on project scope and location. We offer structured staffing timelines and expedited options when schedules compress. The earlier we’re engaged, the smoother the deployment.

Full-time hires come with payroll burden, benefits, onboarding risk, and long-term liability. Ironside offers scalable safety leadership without permanent overhead. Many clients use our services to maintain executive-level oversight while controlling cost.

FRACTIONAL SAFETY DIRECTOR

A Fractional Safety Director provides executive-level safety leadership on a part-time or retainer basis. We guide compliance strategy, oversee safety programs, improve documentation standards, and support insurance positioning without requiring a six-figure full-time salary commitment.

This service is ideal for growing contractors who need structured oversight but are not ready for a full-time safety executive. It is also valuable for companies looking to improve EMR, reduce claims exposure, or strengthen compliance before expansion.

Not necessarily. We often complement existing teams by providing higher-level oversight, strategic direction, and external perspective. In other cases, we serve as the primary safety leadership when no internal director is in place.

INCIDENT & NEAR-MISS INVESTIGATION

Independent investigations remove internal bias and political pressure. A neutral third-party review strengthens credibility, reduces dispute escalation, and supports insurance discussions with documented, objective findings.

Most investigations can begin immediately upon receipt of documentation. On-site review is available when required, but many cases are handled efficiently through structured documentation analysis.

We review incident reports, photographs, safety plans, and related documentation. We evaluate compliance alignment, analyze causation factors, and provide a formal written findings report supported by documentation.

Fatalities fall under OSHA and regulatory jurisdiction. Our services focus on structured review, documentation analysis, and third-party reporting in incidents and near-miss events where independent clarity is required.

PROFESSIONALISM & CREDENTIALS

Yes. We verify required credentials prior to deployment and invest in ongoing internal training through our safety programs. Professionals are vetted before representing Ironside on any job site.

We invest in our professionals, verify credentials, reinforce documentation standards, and maintain internal oversight. Our professionals are supported by leadership, not deployed independently without accountability.
